Our student company be-leaf was founded on behalf of the Erasmus+ project “Green Teen Entrepreneurs” (2018-2020).
This project focused on entrepreneurial skills by looking for sustainable solutions to environmental problems and thus about career and business orientation for students in year 9 – 11. Cultural differences in the business world were also examined and experienced in intercultural meetings between the participating countries Germany, Spain, Lithuania and Italy.
In 24 months, each partner school set up a student company, manufacturing, promoting and selling sustainable and eco-friendly products for local markets. The students found out about the Do’s and Don’ts when looking for a job, and learned about (inter-)national business etiquettes.
In order to work successfully, students needed to get in touch with other students from foreign countries in various international meetings as well as online, which has helped strengthen the participants’ intercultural and social skills and prepare them better for a global job market.
