Am 23. August 2019 fand in Groß-Umstadt eine “Fridays-for-future” Demonstration statt. Greta und Victoria aus unserem Erasmus-Projekt haben die Demonstration organisiert und einige Politiker aus verschiedensten Parteien (bspw. CDU oder AfD) eingeladen. Nach einem Demonstrationslauf durch Groß-Umstadt, fand eine Podiumsdiskussion mit den Stellvertretern der verschiedenen Parteien auf dem Umstädter Marktplatz statt. Zuerst berichteten die Politiker von ihren Zielen für den Klimaschutz und anschließend durften Schüler aber auch interessierte Passante im Anschluss Fragen stellen. Es war ein informativer Vormittag, der es ermöglichte Einblicke in die Politik zu gewinnen, mehr über den Klimawandel zu erfahren und sich mit Anderen auszutauschen.

On the 23rd August 2019 there was a “Fridays-for-future” demonstration in Groß-Umstadt. Greta and Victoria from our Erasmus-project organized the event and invited politicians from different parties (e.g. CDU or AfD). After a demonstration-walk through Groß-Umstadt everyone met at the marketplace and there was a discussion with the alternates of the parties. At first they talked about their plans for the climate problem and after that students and interested pedestrians were allowed to ask their questions. It was a very informative event which gave us insights into politics. Furthermore we learned more about the climate change and we had the chance to talk with others about our points of view.
